ππ HALLWAY HARVEST | My Syrian Diary
A story can help us see life through someone elseβs eyes.
In Mrs. Shelly Tuckerβs high school ELA class, students created visual responses to βMy Syrian Diary,β pairing illustrations with words and quotations to show the contrast between memories of everyday life and the hardships of war.
Images of school, friends, flowers, and music stand beside scenes of destruction and uncertainty. Through their artwork, students highlighted changes in mood and imagery while reflecting on the human experiences within the text.
Thoughtful reading, powerful contrasts, and meaningful student work on display. π
