This six weeks the theme is Internet Safety. Keep reading for three tips on how to fact-check information.
1. Exercise "click restraint" - Before you repost, retweet, etc., wait 30 seconds and ask yourself, "Do I know this is real?" If the answer is no, don't share until you do more research.
2. Decode posts - Verify the account name. Look for grammar and spelling errors; they're a big red flag. Go straight to the source; don't rely on screenshots. Look for a link providing further explanations.
3. Don't make these mistakes - Read only a headline. Trust the site that comes up as the top search result. Get wowed by cool visuals. Fall for a trick URL. Not realize a post is an ad.

Today Seniors learned about being an adult. They changed tires, learned CPR, talked about credit score, banking accounts, and proper etiquette when dealing with law enforcement. Thank you Citizens State Bank, Randy See Judge Orsak, Officer Kerr, Dustin Adams and Bridget Engram for taking time out of your day to prepare our students for adulthood.
